Texas Hold’em is the emergence of online poker, allowing the common poker player to bring years of experience in a much shorter period of time. In addition, the World Poker Tour, which debuted in 2003 and the 1998 film Rounders, served as fuel for the fire. An increase occurred, and Texas Hold’em became the game to be played for both professional and novice poker players alike. This time period became known as the poker boom. Although the Texas Hold’em undoubtedly remains the most popular poker game in the U.S. is only recently that the game has gained notoriety in other states.
